Sunday 30th October is confirmed as the date for the next AGM of the Thompson B1 Locomotive Trust, and of Thompson B1 Locomotive Ltd.
This year, as a change from the norm, the AGM(s) will take place at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, Ruddington, courtesy of the Nottingham Society of Model and Experimental Engineers (NSMEE) who have kindly allowed us to use their clubroom for the purposes.
As a bonus:
- You will be able to get ‘up close’ with 1264, for the first time in several years. We will endeavour to arrange access to the cab.
- NSMEE will have a few miniature live steam B1s available on the day to give rides on their extensive and very impressive miniature railway, more details here: https://www.nsmee.org.uk/
- The ‘Heritage Café’ is available on site, should you want to get lunch or just some refreshments.
- Other aspects of the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre are expected to be open, more details can be found here: http://www.gcrn.co.uk/about/what-to-see/ (except please note, there are currently no ‘main line’ train services operating)
The AGM will start at 13:00 and we hope to be finished by 15:00, but members of the committee will be available to speak to from around 11:30 onwards.
Like last year, it is intended that a parallel video call will be arranged so that those who cannot get there in person can still join via Zoom.
The full AGM ‘document pack’ including annual report, accounts etc will be sent out to members/shareholders along with a Newsletter at the end of September.
