Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th October is the Great Central Railway’s Autumn Gala.

The GCR and 61264 go back many years; it is where 61264 was restored and first returned to steam in 1997.

To celebrate this long history, the Thompson B1 Locomotive Trust will have a stand at Quorn station where you can come and meet us to find out how to get involved and support us in our mission to have 61264 restored to traffic in time for her 80th birthday in 2027.

There are lots of excellent things going on all weekend; the highlight being 7 locomotives in steam including visiting locos GWR Saint no. 2999 ‘Lady of Legend’ and Pannier Tank no. 7714, plus lots more exhibitions and activities besides.

Dates: Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th October 2023*

*Please note that the TBLT stand will only be present on the Saturday and Sunday of the gala.
